LED display buyer guide
How to Choose LED Display Pixel Pitch
Choose pixel pitch by viewing distance, content detail and the required display resolution—not by the smallest number alone.
Start with the nearest viewer
Pixel pitch is the distance between adjacent LED pixels, measured in millimeters. A smaller pitch places more pixels in the same area and can improve detail for close viewing. It also changes cost and system requirements.
Calculate resolution from physical size
Approximate horizontal pixels = screen width in millimeters ÷ pixel pitch. A 4,000 mm-wide wall at P2.5 has about 1,600 horizontal pixels; at P1.25 it has about 3,200. Final resolution follows actual module and cabinet layouts.
Match your content
Detailed dashboards, spreadsheets and presentation text need different treatment from large stage graphics or roadside advertising. Ask for a layout with physical dimensions and native resolution before ordering.
Check the complete configuration
Confirm brightness, refresh rate, service access, cabinet size, control system and power requirements. Request a model-specific datasheet and a proposal matched to your viewing environment.
Make it specific to your project.
Share your screen size and application for a configuration discussion.
