LED Video Wall Cost: How to Compare a Complete Purchase Quote

A useful LED video wall budget starts with a cabinet layout and a clear supply scope. Compare the display, processing, power and signal distribution, support, spares, transport and installation responsibilities before comparing total prices.

Separate buying equipment from hiring an event service

This guide is for businesses purchasing LED display equipment, including rental companies building their own inventory. Hiring a screen and crew for one local event is a different service with a different cost structure. State whether your request is for equipment supply, a complete rental inventory, or a fixed installation. We do not publish a universal price range without a current configuration-specific quotation.

Turn the target dimensions into a real cabinet count

InnoLux lists 500 × 500 mm and 500 × 1000 mm cabinet formats. As an illustrative flat-wall layout, a 5 m × 3 m screen could use ten columns and three rows of the rectangular format: 30 panels and 15 m² of installed area. The same outline could use ten columns and six rows of square cabinets: 60 panels, also 15 m². Confirm the actual cabinet arrangement and compatibility before ordering. Twice the panel count does not automatically mean twice the wall price: the cabinet sizes and supply scope differ.

Keep installed panels, spares and transport quantities separate

If a proposal lists extra cabinets or modules, ask whether they are installed in the wall or held as spares. Compare the installed area, spare quantities and case capacities separately. More receiving components, different power-box arrangements or a different packing method can change cost even at the same wall area. Ask the supplier to identify the exact hardware and demonstrate how it maps to the proposed layout instead of relying on one unexplained price per square meter.

Match the signal and power scope

A panel quotation should identify the processor or controller, receiving configuration, required inputs and signal cables. A computer or media player may be buyer-supplied. Power distribution, cable lengths and electrical connections also need a defined boundary. Final processing capacity follows the real native pixel map, input formats and output arrangement; a 4K input label alone does not define the complete system. Have qualified personnel confirm electrical capacity and protection for the installation.

Add the installation and delivery boundary

Identify which parts of mounting, rigging, ground support, foundations, lifting and local installation are included. A factory-supply price and a locally installed-project price describe different scopes. Confirm packing, freight terms, destination and who handles duties or local procedures. Those costs depend on the shipment and destination; an old project’s freight price or payment arrangement is not a current commitment for a new order.

Compare ownership and support using written terms

Request the spare-parts plan, operating guidance, service access, warranty coverage and repair responsibilities. Confirm what labor, freight or access equipment is outside the scope. For operating cost, use the selected model’s consumption figures with explicit content, brightness and running-hour assumptions. Do not substitute a marketing energy-saving percentage or an LED lifetime figure for a complete ownership-cost calculation.

Send a short brief to get a comparable proposal

Start with four details: intended application and environment, approximate width and height, destination, and the package you need. Add nearest viewing distance, content and target installation date if known. You can ask the team to compare two suitable configurations against the same wall layout and scope. Keep exclusions and optional items visible so the lower initial total can be assessed alongside what is actually delivered.

Your project checklist

  • Application, indoor/outdoor use and approximate screen width × height
  • Nearest viewers, content and any camera requirements
  • Destination and required package or installation boundary
  • Requested controller, support, spares, cases and freight scope

Check the model-specific specifications

Model figures in this guide come from the linked catalogue pages. Confirm the selected configuration and current datasheet before ordering. Calculations are illustrative, not installation drawings or guaranteed operating results.

Frequently asked questions

Is a price per square meter enough to compare LED video walls?

It is useful only when the model, configuration, installed area and included scope match. Compare controllers, spares, support, packing and delivery exclusions as well.

Why can two layouts with the same area have different panel counts?

Cabinet sizes differ. A 5 m × 3 m example uses 30 cabinets at 500 × 1000 mm or 60 at 500 × 500 mm. The illustration does not establish a final build or a price relationship.

Can I ask for a quote without a finished technical specification?

Yes. Send the application, approximate screen size, destination and expected package scope. The team can help clarify the remaining configuration questions.

Make it specific to your project.

Share your screen size, application and destination. You do not need a complete specification to start.
