How Much Does an Outdoor LED Billboard Cost?
An outdoor LED billboard has no reliable universal price per square meter. Compare the screen, control system, structure, electrical work, installation, shipping and long-term service on the same project scope.
Separate display supply from installed project cost
A screen-only price may exclude the processor, frame, foundations, lifting, local electrical work, permits, freight and taxes. Ask each bidder to identify its supply boundary and exclusions. If one quotation includes installation and another ends at a shipping port, the totals cannot be compared directly. This guide explains cost drivers; it does not publish an unverified market price range or promise a return on advertising investment.
Build the area from real cabinets
EcoBeam lists a 960 × 960 mm cabinet, an area of 0.9216 m². An illustrative eight-column by four-row arrangement contains 32 cabinets and measures 7.68 × 3.84 m, or 29.4912 m². Multiply a configuration-specific quoted area rate by that area only when the quotation is actually priced on the same basis. Final wall dimensions, pitch and structural requirements must be confirmed before using the example as a project layout.
Understand what changes the hardware quotation
Pixel pitch affects the pixel count at the same wall size. LED configuration, control capacity, service access, spares and support arrangements also affect the proposal. EcoBeam’s listed pitch variants are P4.44, P5.7, P6.67, P8 and P10. Select around viewing conditions and content rather than assuming the finest pitch will improve every roadside advertising installation. Confirm brightness and cabinet protection for the exact quoted model.
Include electricity with explicit assumptions
EcoBeam’s technical table lists average/maximum consumption of 186/500 W/m². For the illustrative 29.4912 m² wall, the listed average gives approximately 5.49 kW; at 12 operating hours that is about 65.8 kWh per day for the display under that assumption. Real consumption varies with brightness, content and configuration. Auxiliary equipment and losses add load, and local electrical design must use appropriate maximum-demand assumptions rather than this running-cost example.
Request a comparable written proposal
State the destination, installation location, wall dimensions, viewing distances, access and commercial scope. Ask for the cabinet layout, controller, spare-parts list, power assumptions, freight terms, warranty and any required model-specific documents. Have local professionals price the structure, installation and electrical work separately where they are outside supplier scope. This makes the total cost clearer before you place an order.

Check the model-specific specifications

Frequently asked questions
Can you give a billboard price from screen area alone?
Area is a starting point. A useful quotation also needs pitch or viewing requirements, destination, installation conditions and the required supply scope.
Is the energy example a guaranteed bill?
No. It uses the catalogue’s listed average and an illustrative operating schedule. Actual consumption and electricity cost depend on the installed system and operation.
Make it specific to your project.
Share your screen size, application and destination. You do not need a complete specification to start.
