Buying a Rental LED Video Wall for Your Event Business

Choose your first rental LED wall around the jobs you expect to deliver, not a square-meter price alone. Match the environment, cabinet layout, handling plan and complete system before comparing quotations.

Define the events you can realistically serve

List your likely bookings: hotel conferences, exhibitions, concerts or outdoor community events. Record typical screen dimensions, audience distance, indoor or outdoor use, crew availability and transport space. A system that suits repeat local conferences may need a different cabinet mix and protection rating from one intended for outdoor stages. If you expect a mixture, ask which exact configurations can share an inventory; do not assume all panels within a series are interchangeable.

Choose a cabinet layout before choosing an area

InnoLux lists 500 × 500 mm and 500 × 1000 mm cabinet formats, both 72 mm deep. An illustrative 4 m × 2.5 m wall could use eight columns of five square cabinets: 40 panels. Using compatible rectangular and square cabinets could change handling and case counts. Request a confirmed drawing showing panel orientation, dimensions, native resolution and support arrangement before deciding on that mix.

Make handling part of the purchase decision

The InnoLux table lists panel weights of 7.15 kg and 12.5 kg for its two sizes. Forty 7.15 kg panels would contribute 286 kg of panel weight alone. This is not the suspended system load: beams, cables, hardware and the support structure add weight. Have qualified personnel confirm the full rigging design and venue limits. Also compare case loading, vehicle payload, loading access and the crew needed to move the equipment.

Compare the complete system, then the commercial terms

Ask each supplier to price the same screen layout, controller, receiving-system configuration, signal and power cables, rigging or ground support, spares and flight cases. Clarify which items are included, which are optional and which must be provided locally. Compare delivery scope, support, warranty terms and availability of matching replacement parts in writing. A cheaper panel-only quotation is not directly comparable with a complete package.

Use your own booking assumptions

Estimate ownership cost with realistic utilization rather than a promised payback period. Include freight, storage, crew time, transport, insurance, repairs and periods when the inventory is idle. If the screen will be filmed, request a camera test with representative content, brightness and shutter settings; a refresh-rate figure alone does not guarantee the result. Send your expected jobs and approximate wall sizes for an InnoLux configuration proposal.

Your project checklist

  • Typical event types and operating environment
  • Two or three expected wall layouts
  • Nearest audience distance and content type
  • Transport, crew and support requirements
  • Controller, spares, cases and freight scope

Check the model-specific specifications

Model figures in this guide come from the linked catalogue pages. Confirm the selected configuration and current datasheet before ordering. Calculations are illustrative, not installation drawings or guaranteed operating results.

Frequently asked questions

Can I buy a rental LED wall without knowing the pixel pitch?

Yes. Start with event type, wall dimensions, nearest viewer and whether cameras will film the screen. The proposed pitch and cabinet arrangement can then be assessed together.

Does panel weight include the rigging system?

No. The quoted panel weights describe the panels. A full support calculation must include every relevant component and be checked for the actual installation.

Make it specific to your project.

Share your screen size, application and destination. You do not need a complete specification to start.
